Strawberry Slush Tea

Although Summer is slowly on the way out (never thought I’d say it!), the warm weather continues to keep us happy for just a bit longer and there are still days where we can appreciate a cool beverage.  This is an idea that came from Laura Childs’ mystery novel Dragonwell Dead.  It is fast to make and anyone can put it together—it’s a nice change from plain old lemonade or iced tea.

Strawberry Slush Tea

You will need:
-2 cups brewed black tea, chilled
-1 and 1/2 cups frozen strawberries
-1 (6-ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
-1/4 cup powdered sugar
-1 cup ice cubes

Place brewed tea, frozen strawberries, lemonade concentrate, powdered sugar, and ice cubes in a blender.  Mix until smooth and slushy.  Pour into champagne flutes and serve.

Sounds good for a garden party.  Here’s to the end of Summer!
